Creating Te Whare Tapa Wha

March 8 2018

We had to get into groups with people we don't usually work with. My group was with Rosa, Marino and Nivvy.
We had to try and recreate Te Whare Tapa Wha with our own definition.

I helped sticking and building Te Whare. Rosa wrote on the sides and we all told her our definitions. Marino help getting the tape and Nivvy at sat there watching.

One of the challenges we faced was trying to get Te Whare to stand up. We all gave our ideas of how to build it and all agreed on one. Another challenge was trying to figure out what the definition of the sides were but we ended up just researching them.

Te Whare Tapa Wha was over all a good experience for us.

English

Setting

In English we have been working on how to show the setting not tell. It was difficult because I am used to just telling in a story not showing.  Here is an example of one.

Ex: I smelt the salty air running through my hair. I hear a very annoying sound repeating it self as it was flying over my head searching for food.

Hamburgers

In Home Economics we made Hamburgers.
We made the Patties out of Mince and Bread Crumbs. We got to put whatever were like in the the burger because Ms wanted to see what we could come up with.

We didn't take a picture of our creation because we all forgot.
